NEW CLIENTS: First time clients must take a private session before any classes to be accessed for class placement. Call us to discusss any previous experience or areas of concern.
COVID 19 Policy:
Southport Pilates (SPP) has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, Southport Pilates and its employees cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. An additional waiver will need to be signed before starting any session- private, duet, training, and class. Print and sign this waiver before coming to the studio.
If you exhibit any of the following symptoms please do not come in.
· Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
· Fever, Chills, Muscle pain
· Sore throat, new loss of taste, or smell.
Social Distancing Measures
Entering the studio: Please do not come early. No more than 5 minutes before the session. Wait outside the door until the person in front of you has moved on to their station. Come in- remove shoes- all must wear socks. Masks are recommended. Hand sanitizer will be provided for before and after classes. The water cooler is no longer available - please bring a water bottle. Socks and masks will be available for purchase.
Reduced Studio Class Size
Our studios may reduce class sizes as needed to guarantee a minimum of 6 feet of personal distance between members during class.
Hands Off Corrections
For your safety, our teachers will teach using verbal cues only and will continue to provide modifications, progressions, adjustments, and corrections verbally during class as always. You will need to adjust your foot bar and straps and pick up your boxes yourself. Instruction will be given at the beginning of class.
‘In Good Health’ Verification
When booking in-studio classes, you will be required to affirm at the time of booking, that you are in good health and have not been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 as detailed by the CDC.
Additionally, we ask you to complete a waiver to be kept on file to acknowledge your participation in the studio is welcomed as long as you are healthy and observing our new studio policies and social distancing protocols.
Studio & Equipment Sanitization
As before , all members will be instructed to clean the pieces of equipment used during class. Following the class, staff will also sanitize all equipment and studio spaces according to our enhanced cleaning procedures. The length of classes or time between classes may be adjusted as needed to allow staff enough time to sanitize equipment and studio spaces.
Being we are a small studio and every spot counts ...For GROUP classes you book online or call in you have a window of 24-hour notice to cancel without being charged. No shows and last minute cancellations will be automatically charged 100% from package or card registered with.
For appointments / PRIVATE sessions- there is a required 24-hour notice.
We have the right to suspend classes and private sessions due to any advisories from the local governing authorities due to weather or health advisories. Packages will be suspended until business opens.
REFUNDS: If you need a refund for your class package or private sessions previously paid for with a credit card- refunds will be made with the deduction up to 3% for credit card processing fees. All refunds are only eligible for existing packages. Note packages that have expired are not eligible for a refund. See the package terms below.
Class Packages with EIGHT OR fewer classes expire within 60 days of purchase. MORE THAN EIGHT will expire within 90 days. If you are a part-time resident or will be traveling for an extended period of time this is also considered.
Ten Plus Packages expire 90 Days and Twenty packages expire within 120 days.
Please wear sticky socks to Reformer classes. We do offer socks in the studio if you do not have them. It helps to keep our equipment clean and safe.
SPP recommends wearing fitted yoga pants or shorts with fitted biker shorts beneath them. Loose clothing can get caught in the springs or the equipment for safety we recommend comfortable fitted clothing. Hair pulled back or away from straps and springs.
Please arrive no earlier than 10 mins and no later than five minutes for classes. If you have arrived 15 mins before or sooner please wait in the lobby downstairs till the previous clients have exited.
